Rev. Judy Stanley’s ministry and her work with Faith Trek seeks to deepen personal and community faith journeys and faith initiatives. Faith Trek looks for ways to further international goodwill and peace and to bridge old and new spiritual resources to the glory of God.

Judy’s ministry has been divided into types: chaplaincies and pastorates. She has served as a military chaplain, a hospice chaplain and a prison chaplain. She has served as solo, interim and temporary supply pastor in both rural and urban areas. Her dog and best friend, Watson, has accompanied her for many years.

Born in Recife, Brazil and raised in Norfolk, Virginia graduating from Virginia Wesleyan College in 1974. She pursued her theological training at McCormick and Garrett- Evangelical Theological Seminaries, and is pursuing a post-graduate degree at Virginia Theological Seminary.

Judy has served as a US Navy chaplain, and hospice chaplain in addition to pastorates in Mississippi, North Carolina, Virginia and Pennsylvania. She enjoys working on ecumenical events, planning outdoor services and participating in the community theater and soccer events.

In her spare time, she reads, hikes, volunteers in the local school and likes to train dogs, read history and garden.
